aero365 – Advantages
aero365 is based on an inorganic insulation paper filled with silica aerogel. The material combines the properties of a flexible nonwoven with the very low thermal conductivity of an aerogel. This way, aero365 is suitable for insulation applications in which standard materials reach their limits. Depending on the specific application, aero365 may be used as a single layer or in multi-layer structures. Complex geometries can be achieved by ways of conventional 3D hot molding.
- High Insulation Performance at Low Thickness:
aero365 features a thermal conductivity of 0.020-0.026 W/m·K [0,1387 bis 0,1803 BTU·in/(hr·ft²·°F)] at ambient temperature. Featuring a thickness ranging from 1 to 3mm, the aerogel insulation material enables high insulation performance even where installation space is limited. - Less Material, Lower Cost:
given the high insulation performance, fewer layers of insulation material may be needed, offering the potential to reduce material use and cost. - Low Weight:
with basis weights ranging from 75 to 160g/m², areo365 is specifically suitable for applications calling for low weight. - Flexible Converting:
to achieve complex geometries, aero365 aerogel nonwoven can be 3D hot molded and be integrated into multi-layer structures, enabling specific thermal insulation solutions. - High Thermal and Fire Resistance:
depending on the specific variant, areo365 is suitable for applications at ambient temperatures or up to 300° C (572° F). - Easy to Convert:
the textile-like structure allows for easy converting with low dust generation. - Production and Supply Chain based in Germany
Some Applications for aero365
aero365 is suitable for a variety of applications demanding thermal and/ or electrical insulation as well as reliable heat shielding. In particular where installation space is limited, aero365 offers opportunities for compact aerogel insulations using a thin high-performance insulant.
