Sustainability at Sandler Group
Why is sustainability important to us at Sandler, and what drives us? How can we live sustainably in our daily routine at work? And which are our actions to proceed with our journey towards sustainability step by step?
Taking Responsibility and Shaping the Future
Sustainability is not only an important element of our corporate responsibility and long-term evolution. Addressing the issue of sustainability gives us the opportunity to integrate innovation, development, and growth responsibly. Sustainability is part of our corporate philosophy, the philosophy we build upon and in which we need to invest to fully leverage the potential of our company in the long term. Thus, sustainability is a central element of our corporate strategy.
As a textile company, we gain new perspectives for decision-making in procurement, product development, and collaboration with our customers by questioning our role in relation to the environment.
Sustainability in the Textile Industry
To implement our sustainability strategy, we embedded sustainability into our corporate structure by bringing together the innovation and sustainability divisions. How did we do this? We did it through TIMS, a dedicated department within our organization: Transformation, Innovation, Marketing & Product Management, and Sustainability. The journey leading up this transition was exciting, educational, and fruitful.
A Team with Attitude
At Sandler, sustainability is an active part of the decision-making process. The management team is responsible for addressing the challenges affecting Sandler’s long-term progress. The company’s dedicated sustainability advisory board, the sustainability team, and various departments are in constant communication.
Our Four Fields of Action
Based on the United Nation‘s 17 Sustainable Develoment Goals, we defined and integrated four fields of action into our corporate strategy as well as our organization. Our fields of action comprise activities Sandler implements to achieve our own sustainability goals. This way, they contribute to the sustainability strategy of Sandler’s Blue Planet.
No field of action stands alone. Together, they form the circle around our sustainability initiatives.
