Sandler‘s Journey towards Sustainability
Sandler consistently integrates environmental, social, and economic sustainability aspects, as well as the continuous reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, into its strategic business development. The result is Sandler’s Blue Planet – a master plan developed from our strategy fields in accordance with our material topics (as a result of the double materiality analysis as specified by the European Sustainability Reporting Standards - ESRS) and its four fields of action.
How Responsibility turns into Sustainable Transformation
Over the last few years, we have achieved several milestones in sustainability:
Start of our internal initiative and call for Sandler staff to volunteer in the development of a comprehensive sustainability strategy. Several seminars work up an extensive transformation concept, kicking off the development of our sustainability strategy and give a go-ahead for initial measures in our four dimensions of sustainability and fields of action.
The internal advisory board on sustainability, Blue (R)evolution, is being formed. The advisory board brings together perspectives from various departments and divisions to jointly develop solutions and integrate sustainability more deeply into our business processes. In doing so, we are actively driving the implementation of our sustainability strategy.
The implementation and consolidation of the transformation concept is being bundled into one comprehensive project. This marks the start of the Blue (R)Evolution project.
Sandler prepares a mandatory sustainability report according to CSRD, following ESRS standards. The double materiality analysis identifies the main aspects. This results in “Sandler’s Blue Planet” – our understanding of sustainable development at Sandler. Eventually, Sandler is exempt from reporting requirements, but even then, Sandler commits to voluntarily continue the sustainability reporting.
Blue (R)Evolution becomes the revolutionize® brand. revolutionize® stands for an innovative and creative transformation towards the long-term evolution of Sandler. We thereby unite the areas of Transformation, Innovation, Marketing & Product Management, as well as Sustainability under a single vision. The project becomes a course of action that follows the motto “innovate – create – transform” to integrate sustainability into our everyday actions.
