Sandler’s Blue Planet – translating Responsibility into Targets
Targets
From Strategy to Action
Our strategy, with its three strategic fields, aligns with ESG principles, following the guiding principle of long-term corporate development.
The four fields of action specify the measures through which Sandler implements its corporate strategy and associated goals. In particular, the “Mindset” field of action forms the foundation of the transformation. It supports integrating sustainability-related topics within the company, promotes employee engagement, contributes to expanding renewable energy, and strengthens Sandler’s focus on products developed with resource conservation in mind.
The material topics in our sustainability strategy define our priorities and provide a framework for the strategy's goals and fields of action.
Sustainability management encompasses all ESG topics. We consolidate information from our fields of action, our strategy, and our company; collect data; and use these information to develop new strategic directions. In doing so, we review existing approaches and continuously optimize processes. This generates new ideas, projects, and measures that contribute to Sandler’s development.
Our Carbon Footprint
Why do we calculate our corporate carbon footprint?
Our objective is to gradually reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2035. To this end, we will primarily focus on avoiding or reducing emissions from our business activities. For remaining emissions that cannot currently be avoided, we are exploring appropriate measures for offsetting them. In doing so, we are calculating our company’s corporate carbon footprint in order to develop measures to reduce emissions based on this data.
