Really pitching in at work and being there for others your free time - it's employees like Marko Kalezic who make our company what it is. It was this combination that recently earned the 18-year-old first prize in the “Top Regional Apprentice Competition”. He trained with us as a warehouse specialist and warehouse logistics specialist. Marko completed both with distinction at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Focus on professional and voluntary commitment

In addition to his professional activities, Marko Kalezic is also involved with the Bavarian Red Cross in his home twon standby unit as a paramedic and head of the youth group. Other than that, he is also a member of the local marching band. With his professional and social commitment, Marko perfectly fulfilled the decisive criteria for the “Top Regional Apprentice Competition”. The competition was looking for young people with a strong character who support their company and help shape society to make it fit for the future.

Varied field of activity and family atmosphere

What Marko Kalezic particularly likes about his job at Sandler is the variety of activities and the informal atmosphere. In the incoming goods department, where he has been working since December 2023, he can drive a forklift truck, work hard with his hands, or operate our computer programs. “I would do the apprenticeship again at any time. I particularly like the fact that Sandler accepts you for who you are,” says the young. His colleagues appreciate him for his demeanor and his calm, conscientious and open-minded manner.

Continuous learning is encouraged

The first prize in this competition comes with a grant for further training. Marko Kalezic is delighted. “I always want to keep developing and not stagnate. That's why education is extremely important to me. The more knowledge you have, the better it is,” he emphasizes.

This special support and mentoring contributed to the fact that in recent years, many of our trainees have already achieved excellent results and Marko is proof of that.
