The Acquisition & Distribution Layer - Efficient fluid distribution for more comfort

Acquisition and distribution layers (ADL) are crucial components of absorbent hygiene products such as baby diapers, incontinence products and sanitary towels. It ensures that liquid is quickly absorbed and efficiently transferred to the absorbent core. As a result, the surface remains pleasantly dry and the liquid is reliably trapped inside the product.

    Spunlace Acquisition & Distribution Layers

The material properties of spunlace acquisition and distribution layers offer many advantages. The distinct capillary effect of spunlace ADL absorbs and transports liquid particularly quickly. Wet back remains minimal, which supports a dry feel. At the same time, the material offers high stability, with its strength being individually adjustable to ensure optimal processing. Thanks to its padding effect and its spacer structure, Sandler spunlace ADL materials provide additional comfort. It also acts as a buffer and enables the optimal utilization of the core and the superabsorber.

Another advantage is the flexibility in the material composition. Depending on the product requirements, the acquisition and distribution layer can be individually adapted, whether in terms of thickness, strength or the use of sustainable fibers. Reducing the basis weight, where possible, offers additional potential cost advantages.

Sandler Acquisition & Distribution Layer - The customized solution for your product

Each application places different demands on the acquisition and distribution layer. The Sandler Group develops specially tailored solutions for different areas of application. In baby diapers, the ADL ensures rapid fluid absorption into the core and a long-lasting feeling of dryness. In incontinence products, it ensures reliable protection and a pleasant feel. For menstrual hygiene products, the Sandler acquisition and distribution layer enables effective fluid distribution at reduced volume.

Thanks to coordinated layer structures and a modular product concept including standard, premium, and sustainable alternatives, Sandler offers the right solution for every product. Sandler ADL technology is not only powerful, but also resource-saving and efficient in processing.

Acquisition and distribution layers are an essential component of the layerlab - the Sandler Group's hygiene construction kit. Sandler ADL plays a central role in the development of innovative hygiene products and is adaptable to individual product requirements.
