    When was Sandler Group founded?

    The history of Sandler Group began in 1879 with a small cotton wool factory in Hof, northern Bavaria. Already in 1899, the company relocated a few miles south to Schwarzenbach, a small town on the Saale river. For over a century, Sandler has evolved from a regional textile company into an international specialist in high-quality nonwovens. Despite this growth, we have remained true to our values of innovation, responsibility, and long-term thinking, which continue to shape our actions to this day.

    What's the number of employees at Sandler Group?

    Globally, Sandler employs roughly 1000 people. The majority is working at our Schwarzenbach HQ where administration, R&D, as well as the larger part of the production are located. Anotherer important Sandler location is our Perry, GA, plant, catering predominantly to the North American market. 

    Our employees are the foundation of our success. As nonwovens specialists, our staff contributes technical expertise, industry insight, and a strong sense of commitment. Our employees are involved in every step of the process, from product development and manufacturing to collaborative partnerships with our customers.

    The summer of 2025 marks a significant milestone in the company's history: after serving 46 years as the company's CEO, Dr. Christian Heinrich Sandler passed the torch to his nephew Philipp Ebbinghaus.
