Nonwovens in the household: for more hygiene, quality of living and environmental awareness

In a household, comfort, cleanliness, and environmental safety play a vital role. Whatever you’re up to in your home, its’ all about feeling good. Often unnoticed, Nonwovens contribute decisively to the quality of living. Whether nonwovens for upholstery, vacuum cleaner bags, wipes or acoustic optimization – Sandler's nonwovens are precisely tailored to the requirements of the household sector. In addition to technical performance, the focus is also on environmental awareness and resource conservation.

    Thorough filtering of ambient air

Pleasant room conditions with clean air are crucial for the quality of living. Here, Sandler filter solutions take on a central role: nonwoven filter media for vacuum cleaner bags, ventilation devices, air conditioning systems, and extractor hoods help to effectively retain pollutants and dust. More than that, they filter pollen and harmful particles from the air.

Sandler filter nonwovens not only impress with their functionality. Being fully recyclable and made with recycled content, they also score with sustainability, low emission, and a long service life.

    Hygienic cleaning of surfaces

Cleaning wipes have become an integral part of our lives, be in the kitchen, the bathroom, or in the living area. Sandler nonwoven substrates provide for the robust texture required to effectively and hygienically remove dirt without additional water or cleaning agents.

Sandler nonwoven substrates are manufactured by ways of spunlacing, a technology also known as hydro entangling and particularly suitable for hygiene products such as cleaning wipes: fine water jets entangle the fibers with each other without the need of chemical binders.

    Seating comfort maximised

Hygge starts out with the materials: in mattresses, sofas, chairs and outdoor seating, upholstery nonwovens and cushioning material from Sandler provide seating comfort and a long service life. Other than their soft touch, specific seating nonwovens offer functional advantages such as breathability, easy processing, and an even distribution of body pressure.

For our seating nonwovens we use regenerated raw materials, and our production conforming to Oeko-Tex 100 standard contributes actively to reducing the carbon footprint in the seating and mattress industry.

    Interior acoustics significantly improved

Pleasing interior acoustics substantially contribute to our well-being when relaxing, working remote or gathering with family and friends. This also applies to offices, hotels, workshops and production halls, where good room acoustics promote concentration and communication. Acoustic nonwovens from Sandler are particularly effectful in reducing noise e.g. in modern, open plan interiors having many hard surfaces. The porous structure of Sandler PET absorbers reduces reverberations and provide for well-balanced acoustics. Made from recycled Polyester fibers, Sandler bluefiber acoustic solutions are not only efficient, but also sustainable and completely safe to use – ideal for applications in homes.
